Artist's Comments

In England, August 2007, while walking home with her boyfriend, Robert Maltby, a young british girl, Sophie Lancaster, was attacked by a large mob of people because they were goths.
Both fell into coma, from which the boy recovered over 2 weeks. However it became clear that Sophie will not wake up. Her life-support machine was switched off with her parents' agreement in August 24 the same year.

I made this stamp as a tribute to Sophie and so that we could all remember that all of us have the right to be who we want to, and it is a great shame how blind people are in such a diverse community.

If you want to use it outside dA, feel free.
However, link it back here, or state in a visible place that it's made by LaNausee @ deviantart.com

Here you have codes which will transfer to this page after clicking the stamp:

This makes me reolise just how fucking shitty the world can be.
Sorry to rant but it's stupid to judge one another, we're all human and we all breath the same friggin air.
To be different is a gift and honestly I'd rather be different then the same.

This stamp is amazing. You are amazing for making this...

AND I HOPE SOMEONE KILLS THE F*[KER WHO KILLED HER!!!

I also agree with the kitty-person's rant. The world is f*[ked up. And all becasue people cant be different.

Mind if i steal this stamp and put it on a few profiles... get all my mates to put it on theirs??? Naturally, credit notes shall be next to the stamp and Linkys shall be made to your site =] I just think we need to get as many people as physically possible to back the anti-discrimination thingy (i cant think of the word! =[ ) That we must all aim for =D

Again... amazing stampy-wampy (dont ask where that came from) and my love goes out to all who have been aftected, not just by this case of discrimination, but, by all the FUCKERS who think being different is wrong.

Luv, a very stressy Raven =]

thanks for making this stamp
this is such a sad case - but not at all surprising considering some of the hatred I experienced in my dim and distant past!

Indeed it is.
I myself had quite unpleasant experiences because of how I dressed.
In my country, Poland, the discrimination is so extreme and the people so blind that me an my friend got chased around for wearing sneakers, black hoodie and black top. =-=;;

I was very scared when i first saw this stamp, considering my name is Sophie as well and i first saw "This is Sophie."
I completely agree with what this is about. It's horrible that there has to be such tragedies over individuality.
